Lead Java / J2EE Software Engineer – Java, Spring, WebLogic, RESTful
Our client is one of New York’s most prestigious media companies. They have a rich history in producing some of the industry’s best media content and have an international presence. The company began operations in the 1980’s and has been a pioneer in programming, news and now digital content. They are developing state of the art techniques to continue to stay on the cutting edge of bringing customers entertainment content through the latest technology platforms.
They are seeking a senior lead engineer to help continue to build the companies technology platform and multi-media applications. Candidates should 5 + years professional experience working with Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services and WebLogic. They are on an Oracle database and use several object oriented technologies such as C++ and client side technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX and XML. In addition to these technologies candidates will use some of the latest Cloud Computing services. You should have a 4 year computer science degree or the equivalent.

As a member of the digital interactive development team you will be leading teams of 6-10 developers. You should have highly scalable consumer facing web application experience. In addition to the Java experience and knowledge of web technologies, candidates should be comfortable in architecting systems and working with various development and business teams. Our client offers a complete compensation package that includes benefits, vacation, training, 401k and bonus. Salary is based on experience and is in the range of 130-150k.
