Lead Java Swing Developer (AVP – VP Level) recruitment
The ideal candidate will be creating and maintaining GUI applications. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven skills in problem solving and analysis. Selected candidate will work closely with Management Architects and other teams involved in developing and enhancing systems to meet new business and technical requirements and participate in design, development and implementation of client applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working side by side with Front-Office traders and Portfolio Managers to identify and gather requirements to enhance modify or develop new trading tools.
- Developing software tools using Core Java (Server Side Front-End tools)
- Working with Java Swing and other GUI tools to create a practical and appealing user interface.
- Integrating the tools with Bloomberg, Thomson-Reuters or other leading market data / trading applications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Required Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
- 4-6+ years of IT experience within the Capital Markets / Trading industry
- Strong knowledge of object oriented programming in Core Java.
- Strong experience of multithreading, low latency, high throughput development in Java Swing.
- Experience with RDBMS, preferably Sybase or Oracle
