Lead Land Quality Consultant- Water- Permanent- High Wycombe

The wet infrastructure sector they serve encompasses a variety of water-related projects and programs ranging from water supply, treatment and storage to water resources management and coastal restoration, and from design and construction of hydropower and renewable energy facilities to full environmental services.

Description
They are seeking energetic and well organised Lead Land Quality Consultant who can lead project teams and be accountable for deliverables to clients. The position is primarily in support their UK clients but support to international projects is required from time to time.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate experience, and is likely to have a Masters Degree in a suitable discipline and an excellent understanding of UK contaminated land legislation and processes. The candidate will also be a Chartered member of a relevant professional body.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate good experience of design, planning and delivery of contaminated land desk studies, site investigations, risk assessment (qualitative and quantitative) methodologies and remediation projects. A good understanding of current UK environmental regulation is required, with experience of CLEA being advantageous. A range of land quality experience, including contaminated land, defence, petrochemical, railway and work with utilities and or water companies is expected. The successful candidate will join existing teams, and be expected to undertake both office based and field work as a Technical Lead, being responsible for all aspects of field data collection, including managing subcontractors, suppliers and junior staff. They will also be responsible for the reporting of the data collected within the client`s reporting framework. They will work closely with client programme managers delivering work programmes for industrial clients. Experience of remedial design or construction oversight and an appreciation of geotechnical engineering will be an advantage. Excellent computer and report writing skills are expected. Specific software skills in HoleBase and CLEA would be beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications
The candidate will also be a highly skilled technologist with sufficient knowledge to become a focal point for activities in the discipline. The candidate will thoroughly understand project financials from budget preparation through project execution and closeout. The candidate will understand how project plan, work processes, and deliverables are integrated into the contractual terms and manage these accordingly. The candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of business development activities including proposal development, contract administration and client presentations.

Ideally the candidate will also demonstrate experience of working with blue chip multinational companies. The individual will also need to demonstrate a track record in preparation of high quality oral and written communications.

A UK driving licence is essential.
