Position Description:
This position will offer you the opportunity to lead a mechanical engineering and design project team involved in the design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant mechanical systems.
You will work on interesting and challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a variety of mechanical engineering issues and:
** As team lead, you will coordinate the conceptual and detailed design phases for all aspects of mechanical engineering work and have accountability responsibilities for meeting project budget and schedule parameters.
** Develop integrated system designs and supporting calculations.
** Prepare engineering studies, independent reviews, technical specifications for mechanical equipment, and design change packages.
** Perform reviews of existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements and present findings and recommendation to clients and peers.
** Prepare project progress and technical reports for client management.
** Review engineering work performed by others and provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers.

Qualifications:
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering and PE license.
This is a senior level position that requires at least 10 years of experience in the design of mechanical engineering systems for electrical power generation facilities - for both new plant design as well as design for modifications and upgrades to existing facilities.
Experience should include sizing and selection of equipment and piping materials and preparation of performance sizing calculations and specifications.
HVAC engineering experience is a plus.
Experience leading an engineering design team is also necessary.
