As our Lead Nike+ Application Engineer in Consumer Digital Technology, you will bring a broad experience of successfully ideating and delivering value that enables Nike to increase productivity, realize efficiencies and build compelling consumer experiences. Interest and experience in the latest methodologies goes a long way here and we're looking for people who are passionate about the world of value-driven solution delivery, as you'll be working on Nike+ experiences that will leverage technologies to motivate consumers to be more active. You'll get to work alongside truly talented teams and external agencies and help them enhance their performance by promoting collaboration and innovation. This role is ideal for someone who has as a majority of the following requirements, but we understand that no one has everything: A track record of working with agencies and business customers to develop web-based consumer applications. Good people skills and the desire to use them collaboratively. Diverse experience in using a wide array of Java tools and Web Front End, such as client-server environments like Java Platform, J2EE, EJB, JSP, Javascript, JFC/Swing MVC, JQuery and/or JDBC technologies and SOAP/REST Web Services. GWT (Google Web Toolkit) is a plus. Technically capable with maximizing build quality and simplifying the build process through use of integration tools (ie. JUNIT, Ant, Maven, etc.). Experience with relational databases and SQL is important. Ability to efficiently and effectively apply our SDLC to promote requirements understanding, minimize rework and build trust in solutions with customers and end users. Experience in full life-cycle solution delivery projects (more than 15 people, longer than 6 months). A true team orientation, with a focus on sustainable business delivery. Leadership experience in the deployment of code across environments. Be a thought leader in code/configuration standards and best practices to build in "quality at the source". Highly skilled in application and system performance monitoring and tuning to achieve desired results. Experience in working in an Agile delivery environment. Passion for coaching, teaching, mentoring and learning. Commitment to and hands-on experience in leading/performing technical quality reviews.
