In the course of staffing its new RFID design team based in San Jose, CA, NXP is looking for experienced RFID and NVM designers to fuel its drive toward Best-in-Class RFID IC designs. This autonomous, self sufficient Silicon Valley team is part of a broader transformation into an organization with the flavor of a start-up and the resources of a $4 Billion annual revenue powerhouse. NXP’s highly profitable RFID business unit is committed to understanding in depth its customers’ applications and serve them with Best-in-Class ICs.
In order to support and execute our aggressive market share growth plan in RFID Tags Labels we have decided to recruit, build and establish a top notch tag IC development team in San Jose (US). This team will focus on RFID applications making use of UHF technology and will work together with our existing European development team.

Job Description
The successful candidate will lead an effort to design a Best-in-Class ultra-low power NVM for RFID applications. In depth understanding of all factors driving NVM reliability, instance power consumption and write speed is a Must, as is hands-on experience in designing critical circuits such as charge pumps and their controls, sense amps, row column decoders. In addition to closely working with the teams in San Jose and Gratkorn/Austria, our Lead NVM Designer will access additional corporate NVM expertise and fab resources to design across-platform, scalable memories optimally matched optimally matched to processes. Experience in designing NVM in logic processes is a strong Plus.
Requirements
BSEE required with 5-10 years related experience. Excellent communication skills.
