Lead Production Support Analyst (VP), High Frequency and Electronic Trading Technology, Cash Equities, Hong Kong recruitment
My client is a tier on bank engaging in the strategic rebuild of ALL ASIAN EQUITIES TRADING PLATFORMS.
This is a senior support analyst role responsible for cash equities electronic trading application support in the Asia locations and supporting the Electronic Client Services (ECS) desk.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working in a highly dynamic trading environment working closely with Electronic Client Services desk to support DMA , algorithmic trading and high frequency trading business flows and applications covering electronic trading. The primary goal is to understand the Cash Equities and DMA business flow and provide expert application consultation and support to the Front Office ECS desk.
General responsibilities
• Understand the use and functions of the client order management system, trader order management system, direct market access, FIX order flow, and exchange connectivity in Asia.
• Interface with senior managers within the location to advise and consult on technology systems for the locations.
• Provide start of day system health checks
• Support trading floor activities by promptly resolving production queries, requests and issues.
• Manage all support activities using an incident tracking system
• Assist with the release management and verification of changes to production
• Face-off to management (technology and business).
Product and market expertise
• Extensive knowledge of exchange rules and regulations relating to (electronic) execution
• Act as a partner to the Electronic Client Services desk and Application Development teams by demonstrating a deep understanding of our existing products, services, systems, flows, support structure and technology relating to electronic execution for clients. Where appropriate, communicate potential leads with Solutions
• Supporting and troubleshooting of orders and execution flows and advice users in timely manner.
DMA/ SOR / Crossing and Algorithmic Trading Supervision
• Asian market knowledge.
• Coordinating market rehearsals
• Provide pro-active trade monitoring and supervision for our Direct Market Access ('DMA') and Algorithmic trading products.
• Must have understanding on FIX messaging and protocol.
• Good understanding on Smart order routing Crossing for Asia markets.
Essential Experience, Skills Knowledge
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Equities Technology Investment Banking or vendor company providing trading solutions
• Strong knowledge of Equities markets and Equities business processes, especially the front office order management and trading functions in Asia.
• Very good understanding on Asia exchanges.
• Able to support algorithmic trading for Asia region and provide active solutions.
• Must have understanding on FIX messaging and protocol.
• Good understanding on Smart order routing Crossing for Asia markets.
• Ability to see problems through to successful conclusion in a timely manner, including timely updates to the business teams
• Good knowledge of a technical environment using Unix, Sybase SQL and shell script skills
