Role Summary/Purpose
The primary responsibility of the LPI is to manage the timely delivery of high quality product programs to market while conforming to functionality, budget, quality, regulatory, resource, and schedule constraints. Cross-functional teams will be focused on the creation of the program deliverables. An LPI will ensure that the efforts of these teams come together into a cohesive release that meets our milestone criteria.
Essential Responsibilities
The LPI will work closely with the Program Manager and a Product Manager to lead the day-to-day activities for the team. In addition, this person should act as a customer champion for HCIT issues. Responsibilities include:
• Accountability for the successful estimation, planning, and execution of high quality software product development programs on budget and on time.
• Management of the product development life cycle (M0-M5) following the Phased Review Discipline (PRD) process guidelines.
• Cross-functional coordination of activities related to the product development process including Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, QA, RA, and Service Engineering activities.
• Working closely and developing relationships with the cross-functional core team members.
• Developing program plans and schedules through consistent estimation and program team consensus building.
• Tracking milestones and critical dependencies. Defining staffing requirements and functional deliverables. Developing and executing integrated project plans.
• Management of scope and requirements to maintain schedule predictability.
• Developing risk logs and mitigation plans for assigned projects
• Managing issues. Informing core team, stakeholders, and senior management of major issues that will impact program success. Escalating issues when necessary.
• Assisting sales/service marketing teams in addressing customer feedback and driving the content into the development teams.
• Acting as change agent to continuously improve both tools and processes to enhance quality and compliance.
• Zeist vocal point for the GE Healthcare IT Project Management Office (PMO).
Qualifications/Requirements
• Education and Training BSEE (or comparable) or higher, technical degree.• Proven project management skills • Knowledge of software development processes and lifecycles and Engineering principles• Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering complex multi-site global programs.• Excellent problem solving and relationship building skills. • Good written and verbal English and Dutch language skills• Willing to travel (2-4 times a year 3 to 5 days)
