To expand its delivery of rich user experiences and grow market share through online marketing techniques and best practices, the Web Services and Strategies team is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and driven Lead Project Mgr with a strong will to succeed in a demanding, fast paced, and high-performance environment.
A Lead Project Mgr is responsible for independently managing multiple, concurrent, and complex technical and business initiatives, critical to the success of WebTeam objectives by gathering business requirements and use-cases, building cross-functional project plans, supervising internal and external resources, and managing risk and budgeting concerns in accordance with the overall web marketing strategy. He/She acts as a spokesperson by nurturing relationships with and guiding stakeholders through complex and specialized projects, leveraging high levels of creativity to negotiate issues and solve problems.
A Lead Project Mgr owns and manages key projects, critical to the maintenance and innovation of SCEA web sites. Through establishment of diplomatic relationships, this individual works continually with cross-functional teams and vendors toward the specific goals of delivering projects within the planned scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
Candidates must demonstrate superb decision making skills, applying advanced principles, theories, and concepts to independently solve complex problems and provide highly creative solutions. Strong writing and communications skills with previous web development experience a must.
Principle Duties / Responsibilities:
- Work with extended teams of business stakeholders, information architects, visual designers, and web/IT developers to provide clear direction, project plans, and status on key initiatives. Collaborate with front end Web programmers, systems administrators, and application developers to integrate and manage web content and services.
- Oversee projects and resources required to run and innovate SCEA's Web sites from a business and technical point of view. Ensure an optimal customer experience though properly defined processes and project objectives, metrics monitoring, page/search optimization, and quality assurance of content and code integrity.
- Manage user acceptance testing efforts of assigned projects by supervising environment setup, functional tests, load tests, performance tests, sizing and tuning studies. Identify actionable initiatives and lead efforts to resolve issues.
- Scope, plan, and allocate resources to assigned projects by interfacing with stakeholders, web developers, designers, and copy writers to support business owners. Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain key communications channels through continuous tracking of all assigned web projects
- Define, refine, and drive web standards, best-practices, template guidelines, review and approval processes for consumption by cross-functional team members and 3rd party vendors
- Manage implementation of web analytics applications, ensuring integration within all websites and web marketing initiatives (banners, email marketing, pay-per-click). Define reports and dashboards by identifying goals, key performance indicators, and funnels. Use actionable insights to improve on WebTeam initiatives and processes.
- Continuously research, recommend, and implement best practices and emerging technologies to improve customer experience and web production processes.
- Promote web technologies and innovation within the organization to streamline business processes, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and grow targeted markets while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
Required Knowledge / Skills:
- Expert knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and productivity tools with significant web project management experience
- Excellent communications, writing, and team management skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills with the ability to work across many levels of an organization
- Expert organizational skills with a problem solving, "get-it-done" attitude. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with high attention to detail, efficiently and under pressure
- Expertise with Content Management Systems, database driven sites, web delivery platforms, portals, and containers
- Expertise with Web Analytics, search engine optimization/marketing tools and principles, email marketing platforms, and related utilities
- UAT expertise related to functional testing, load testing, and performance testing. Web hardware sizing and tuning abilities are a plus
- Expertise with A/B testing, multi-variate testing, web content optimization, and related tools
- Knowledge of CSS, HTML/XML, and javascript. Expertise in Oracle and MySQL databases. Knowledge of Java/J2EE, .Net, and related technologies. Familiarity with LAMP stack or similar is a plus
- Experience and track record of developing technically oriented processes and systems having immediate impact and results on site production
- Motivated, dedicated, and reliable with commitment to achieving completion of tasks within agreed strict time scales and budget. Self started who works well in a demanding, fast paced, and high-performance environment
- Experience and understanding of social media and emerging technologies is preferred
Required Experience / Education:
- At least 10 years of web production and/or project management experience, preferably with large-scale, consumer-facing websites. At least 3 years experience in management and development of teams with management of external production agencies and associated resources.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
