This is a Global Restructuring – Central Analytics position.
Under the direction of the Central Analytics manager, assumes overall responsibility for conducting, strategizing, and communicating high-level quantitative and strategic analysis for the various Global Restructuring initiatives. Particular focus on helping to lead quantitative analysis on bespoke research or available data sets quickly and accurately to provide a solution for the requirements of the various business units under the IT Ops Transformation Program.
Serves as a subject matter expert on behalf of the Central Analytics Team relative to complex business analyses, quantitative analytics, as well as operations design and implications.
Leads the development and creation of Excel models, Dashboards and other quantitative analysis based on both client and user needs and a thorough understanding of business and industry requirements.
- Leads the execution, development, and communication/presentation of Excel model building from concept design to completion for the Central Analytics Team
- Coordinates and actively participates in the efforts to improve, create, and maintain high-end financial and strategic models across the team in alignment with the business requirements and processes of the various business units' initiatives.
- Leads and facilitates user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases and researching and resolving issues
- Collaborates with IT Ops Transformation process owners, process managers, project managers, COE Owners, local business units, product and platform management to ensure business requirements meet customer needs. Additionally, solutions must align with quantitative solutioning by the Central Analytics Team and the strategic direction of IT Ops Transformation program
- Analyzes current processes quantitatively and recommends process improvements
- Prepares cost/benefit analysis and recommends solutions based on rigorous quantitative analysis
- Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering required from top school, MBA or CFA preferred
- Management and leadership experience a plus
- At least 6-8 years of investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance experience
- Extensive experience in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and other quantitative and strategic analyses
- Advanced MS Excel skills are required for this position. Candidate must be an MS Excel power user with advanced financial modeling skills and spreadsheet management abilities. Must be able to organize and manipulate large volumes of data as well as build and use advanced macros/pivot tables/v- and h-lookups, etc.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Must be able to operate effectively in a challenging, dynamic environment and work well in teams
- Manage multiple work streams and projects through to completion, often under tight deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to consistently generate a high quality work product is a must for this position.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated individual who enjoys taking the lead to undertake challenges and can assimilate quickly in ambiguous environments
