Role:
As a focused and skilled Safety System Engineer with prior experience working with a variety of Control Systems and Emergency Shutdowns Systems you will be responsible for leading and directing the control and automation engineering team in relation to all safety system matters. You will have lead responsibilities in relation to developing design and functional specifications and defining and managing safety control configuration procedures. In addition you will be required to identify opportunities within this field and assist in business development within the safety area.
To be considered you must have:
- An Engineering Degree or Associate Diploma or Trade Qualification in either Electrical, Instrumentation or Electronic fields with a strong knowledge of Automation and Process Control
- Certified as a TUV Functional Safety Engineer
- Experience working with safety systems
- A background in oil and gas, mining or power generation
- Experience with PLC’s, DCS, SCADA or Control Systems
- Experience developing project documentation and standards
- Ability to lead a team
- Strong networking skills and industry knowledge
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
