Lead Server Programmer
Job : 909659 Responsibilities : - Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's client/server software applications - Maintain development of our current systems, until such time as they can be replaced by you - Work with other programmers to interface with all currently existing project subsystems - Implement social game mechanics and integrate with "child safe" social networks - Work with other programmers to integrate mini-games into the game experience - Understand, develop, and integrate analytics tools and automated reporting systems with real-time, client-facing dashboards - Create and maintain a database for content, text, and audio, and write administrative tools that allow for instant data updates across all projects - Manage content delivery networks and costs for data delivery - Automated testing, including unit performance, and load testing - Support client programmer as needed - Provide consultation on complex projects as a top level contributor/specialist - Maintain near 100% uptime - Integrate all efforts with other technology and programmers at all times - Schedule, budget, and personnel management as needed Bonus Skills / Qualifications : - Expertise in the design, implementation and continuing support of large scale client/server applications - Previously shipped educational game - Degree in an educational field, preferably teaching, or ideally, educational technology - Previous experience working on a shipped online game title (Facebook, ideally) as server programmer - Knowledge of Flash/AS3 development - HTML 5 expertise
