Located in the heart of the Angel, the Site Optimisation team for hotels.com worldwide oversees 77 sites in 36 languages. We are a leading e-commerce site and online travel agency. If you’re familiar with us, you’ll definitely be interested to hear we’re growing our site optimisiation team as part of an effort increase conversion on the site and identify new opportunities for Hotels.com.
As a member of the global site optimization team, we are always looking to find new ways to improve the customer experience and conversion. We are committed to delivering unsurpassed hotel booking service to our customers, by eliminating any obstacles that prevent customers from booking a hotel on our site. To support this, we are looking for an individual, experienced in web analytics (e.g. Omniture and Tealeaf), who will take an analytical approach to defining areas for improvement. One of the key components for success is analyzing and measuring existing website functionality in order to set a baseline for identifying issues and obstacles on the site, and working with cross-functional teams to resolve open issues.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of website technology as well as the ability and skill to negotiate and affect change. The person in this role must be able to think creatively in order to solve complex business and technology problems. Experience in generating business and/or functional requirements is required.
The successful candidate will play a central role in fast-paced site optimisation initiatives for areas such as search results, landing page optimisation, and checkout/booking projects across the web and mobile devices.
Whilst you’ll be collaborating with the Director of Site Optmisation and the larger team, you’ll often find yourself directly owning the initiatives you’re working on. With that comes the need to analyse problems, set and work within deadlines, and negotiate and communicate your solutions to your fellow product managers and company leadership.

Qualifications
Requirements
• Degree in math, computer science or similar field
• 5+ yrs experience in ecommerce or digital media analytics
• An advance knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of web code as it relates to analytics tracking
• Knowledge of Java/JSP or OO programming language
• Experience with standard web analytical tools and interfaces (Omniture, GA, etc.) is a plus
