Lead Software Developer / Architect / CTO for Software Company Job in New York 10018, New York Us

Scopus IT is working exclusively with a small, very successful software company that has built a vertical solution for a specific market which is used by companies throughout the world.

This software vendor is looking for a lead software developer / architect to act as CTO. The company is established and has a product that is tremendously successful. The technology solution is 'metadata driven' and based on the metadata layer, workflows can be fully customized for various customers who have different business processes without any programming. The robust metadata-driven solution has been critical to this software company's ability to bring solutions to their customers without any custom programming for their vertical market. The company's core technology platform is stable and successful, but the ideal person in this role will be motivated to learn the existing platform and think about ways to vastly extend the functionality in order to service the software company's existing customers and attract new ones.

Our customer is looking to hire a dynamic leader *ASAP* to take over leadership of the technical team and to fill the role of someone who is relocating.

The team is looking for the right person and compensation *will not* be an issue for the right person. The team is concerned with bringing in a technical leader who will set and implement the vision for the next generation of products.

The ideal skill set will include a combination of the following:
* Coding skills in C# / .NET.
* Understanding of database (SQL Server, etc) technology.
* Ability to think about technical improvements
* Ability to lead a small technical team.
* Ability to be a 'technical visionary', particularly using metadata to dynamically create workflows for this vertical industry solution.
* Able to delegate software development responsibility to the team. Depending on the individual, this role could be filled either by someone who is heavily involved in coding, or else someone who is somewhat hands-off (but with the capacity to do the work.)
