Position Details:
The Lead Statistical Analyst serves as leader to develop advanced analytical solutions for Experian clients, including new product idea initiatives for the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for manipulating and interpreting data to conduct extensive analytics including:
- Model score development validations
- Decision Tree analysis
- Segmentation and trend analysis
- Univariate multivariate analysis
The incumbent will utilize their knowledge and experience with statistical modeling processes techniques to develop new custom and proprietary scoring models across the customer lifecycle.
Models include acquisition, fraud, response, attrition and collections.
The majority of time will be spent developing models through extensive analytics that include writing SAS code for the development of scoring models, interpreting and manipulating data and undertaking quantitative analytics through data mining.
This position requires sufficient experience to take a lead role in model development projects.
Independently manage scoring model development, validation/analytic projects from their inception to the final delivery.
Document and present the results to the DS group, product management team and the customers / users of the models.
Requirements:
- MS/MBA in Statistics./Econometrics required
- Knowledge and experience in a systems environment, such as, MS NT, Unix and Mainframe, that facilitates manipulation and processing of data
- Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision while conducting independent statistical and quantitative analytics.
- Must be a team player that is self motivated and has excellent communication skills.
- Strong PC skills as well as good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with relational databases and software such as SAS, SQL, DB2, and Oracle
- At least 5 years of SAS programming
- Solid hands on experience in data mining and quantitative analysis with Knowledge Seeker preferred
