Chevron's Deepwater Exploration Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Lead Subsea Intervention Engineer located in Houston, Texas.

Employee will be expected to live in the Houston Metropolitan area. Initially, there will be a mix of Rig based field rotational assignments and Office based work assignments(5/2 or 9/80).

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, support and supervise all activities associated with SS well equiment installation from MODU, completions and SS Interventions as required.
  • Provides support for SSBOPE and Controls maintanance/inspection for rigs while in assigned fields.
  • Provides support for all project owned intervention equipment.
  • Coordinates MSV and barge ops.
  • Supervise contractor staff and mentor/train less experienced intervention personnel.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic, concepts, controls and equipment.
  • Able to work offshore and fabrication yards for periods of up to 4 weeks.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, able to write and understand technical documents and drawings.
