Lead Technical Analyst – Datawarehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Modelling recruitment

This position is required within the Shared Services Finance IT team which is part of Risk, Finance and Corporate Systems IT.

The successful candidate will manage a team of Technical Analysts to ensure analysis is performed to a consistent high standard. In addition to the management responsibilities the appointed individual will undertake analysis on a large strategic project within the programme.

Shared Services Finance are part of the wider CFO Organisation. The business team is responsible for producing reporting relating to budgeting, forecasting and planning. In addition to this they are responsible for Cost Allocations and Cross Divisional reporting and Management Information.

Working closely with both the Business IT Development Teams, the Lead Technical Analyst will:
• Manage a team of 3-6 Technical Analysts ensuring consistent standards of analysis across all projects.
• Working on specific projects:
o Analyse document business / functional architecture requirements
o Perform data data source analysis
o Facilitate workshops and design walk-throughs with business clients and the development teams
o Support SIT, Functional UAT test phases;

The lead technical analyst will be expected to align his/her work to the Credit Suisse standard project methodology and deliver assigned work packages to acceptable quality, and to the project plan timeline ensuring his team does the same.

The technical analyst will be report to the MI Programme Manager on a day-to-day basis.

Within the 1st year the successful candidate would be expected to establish a strong Technical Analysis Team ensuring consistent quality of analysis across all projects within the programme. They would also be expected to expand and grow their Analytical skills knowledge of Credit Suisse processes.

The specific team delivers projects to the CFO Division which includes Financial Planning and Analysis and Shared Services Finance, the Executive Board as well as Regional / Divisional Managers.

• Educated to Degree level (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years experience in the Financial Services Industry
• A strong understanding of Data Warehousing and BI associated technologies.
• An appreciation of Data Modelling techniques including dimensional and ER modelling
• Thorough knowledge of analysis techniques including process modeling, use case development and data flow diagrams
• Good understanding of Accountancy terminology
• Strong collaboration skill
• Project lifecycle experience in a process-oriented environment on at large scale projects as a business analyst
• An understanding of SQL
• Good written verbal communication skills with both technical resources and business clients is essential
• Experience of working in a virtual team, across regions and timezones
• This role would not suit a project manager with some experience of business analysis.
