Leads the design, implementation, test and customer-site startup of complex manufacturing information and automation systems working in a project team environment. Focus of this position is to provide technical leadership for customer projects involved Rockwell Automation Life Science MES software including Factory Talk PharmaSuite and PMX. Ensures the re-use of engineering pertaining to application solutions or technologies across multiple projects.
• BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge; further education in engineering, computer science or project management is a plus.
• Typically five or more years experience in a systems, software, process automation or application engineering capacity.
• Extensive experience with direct customer contact is required.
• Extensive experience working within the Life Science Industry and knowledge of regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Extensive experience with Life Science Industry manufacturing application including MES, ERP, and control systems.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation Factory Talk Production Center, Factory Talk PharmaSuite, or PMX is preferred.
• Technical skills required include Java, Oracle, Pnuts scripting, and XML. Experience with C++ and Python is a plus.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
• Must have excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays on occasion to meet customer project commitments.
• Must perform duties in the office as part of a project team.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial plants, ships, etc., which may require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments.
