Leading Commodities Trading House is looking for a Credit Risk Manager- London based

A leading European based Commodities trading house is looking to expand its platform over into the global markets. The role will be a crucial part of the firm’s expansion helping to drive the risk function forward in an ever expanding market.

It will report directly into the CRO based in the UK, and will have relative autonomy over the credit risk department in London. This means that candidates will get unrivalled management experience as well as fast career progression and the group plans to expand aggressively throughout 2013.

The Role

-          Perform financial and credit assessment of trading counterparties to determine their credit risk

-          Seek approval for new and revised credit limits and risk mitigation in line with the Credit policy

-          Aid the development of credit exposure models to analyse complex deals

-          Monitor counterparty credit risk for the commodity trading business and proactively identify and recommend mitigating action when required

-          Manage the expansion and continued performance of the Risk Group

-          Direct interaction with external counterparties to negotiate commodity trading contracts

Ideal Candidate

-          Strong educational background

-          Detail oriented and literal thinking candidates with strong numerical skills

-          Experience within the commodities market (3+ years)

-          Excellent knowledge global commodities market

-          Strong analytical and communicative skills

-          Motivated and driven individuals

-          Mandarin or Cantonese language skills is a bonus but not mandatory
