As our Lean Enterprise Coach - Europe, you'll be joining the Lean Business Enablement (LBE) organization. Our focus is on providing Lean solutions that eliminate waste, maximize customer value, and drive profitable business growth. You'll utilize the Lean philosophy of continuous improvement to design and develop sustainable, world class learning infrastructure, training centers and associated curriculums to enable NIKE Europe to revolutionize the sport and fitness industry through a fundamental cultural and behavioral change. You'll need to be a self-motivated individual with a training background preferably in the field of Lean and or business operations. You'll need knowledge and experience with the development of training curriculums for effective adult learning and organizational change management. Ideally, you'll have corporate global experience working with multiple cultures / languages and the proven ability to align to global standards. In addition, you'll need to be an effective communicator used to working with complex concepts and students that have set methods of operating for which these concepts are not intuitive.

  

Responsibilities

 

Planning and Alignment:

 

* Develop and lead the execution of a European Lean Enterprise training strategy across the business that is aligned with our Global Lean training strategies. Promote this strategy and influence key stakeholders to support the plan with money, instructor resources and students

 

* Assure that training resources are spent against the most critical needs of the Business and that training initiatives are fully supported by our Business leaders

 

Program Curriculum Design:

 

* Apply systematic methodology in the assessment of developmental needs for all skill sets and levels of an organization, and design, develop and continuously improve training curriculums accordingly. Systematic evaluation includes collaborating with Human Resource, Training and Communication personnel to gauge potential training opportunities within current business requirements and with Business and Lean leadership to understand curriculum development required to support future business requirements

 

* Utilize the multitude of multi-cultural opportunities to enhance learning experiences

 

* With our Global partners, Lead the design, development, maintenance and continuously improve curriculums and multi lingual training material

 

* With our Global partners, Lead and coordinate benchmark assessments of other training facilities, including external to Nike industry, to continuously improve Lean Learning Centers

 

* Continuously develop knowledge of Lean business philosophy, technical, lean enterprise tools.

  

Community Development

 

* Facilitate the development and ongoing support of a community of Lean coaches, trainers, and process excellence professionals within Europe, working toward a common vision of promoting Lean excellence internally and with external Nike partners

 

* Within Europe, Sponsor and lead a broad spectrum of activities and events that bring together the knowledge and passion derived from experiences using Lean principles to create an "organic" transfer of knowledge and excitement around process excellence

 

* Aligned to our Global partners, Lead the design and execution of a communication strategy within Europe that allows Lean stories and learnings to be told through a variety of mediums for effective sharing globally. Work closely with other communications resources to leverage all existing forums for ease of access to the end user

 

* In coordination with our Global Partners, Lead the development of selection and reward mechanisms for best in class performance activity as a means of recognizing results and driving continued excitement for Lean

 

* Sponsor external partnership sessions to bring together learnings and best practices.

 

 Staff Development Collaboration:

 

* In Europe and in alignment with Gobal, Identify, design and develop train-the-trainer curriculums for supplier business processes requiring infrastructure development to support a sustainable cultural Lean transformation process, including the HR and Training functions

 

* Lead the development mechanism/assessment to evaluate effectiveness of Category, factory, or vendor trainers under "train-the-trainer" programs

 

* Collaborate Globally to establish role-based training for key positions. Integrate technical learning with process and IT learning, with the aim of developing a focused approach to improved job performance through Lean principles

  

Program Execution:

* Ensure the successful execution of each program or learning event. Secure competent instructors for each curriculum

 

 * Evaluate and coach instructors

 

 * Influence content owners as necessary in order to ensure ongoing excellence in the classroom

 

* Drive the process of turning student and instructor feedback into improved curriculum and execution for the next class.

 

* Develop trainee feedback mechanisms to ensure effective knowledge transfer occurs

 

* Facilitate revisions to the applicable training plan, curriculum and course material, as needed

  

Personal Development:

 

* Continuously develop personal professional competencies

 

* Attend periodic meetings and summits both inside and outside Nike to remain current with business processes and Lean methodologies

  

Requirements

 

* Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Business or a related field

 

* 4 years' professional experience within Business/Engineering/Manufacturing/Logistics field, 2 years' additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree

 

* 5-7 years' overall professional experience in Operations Manufacturing / Product Creation with at least 2 years' spent implementing programs that require new or expanded competencies within a diverse organization

 

* Prior experience developing business strategies and working across a wide spectrum of business stakeholders

 

* Professional coursework in business process development, manufacturing, Lean, Industrial Engineering, professional training, or related areas specific to complex project management in an environment of continuous improvement preferred

 

* Well versed in facilitation skills in order to deal with the complexity of change management issues across a culturally diverse implementation base

 

* Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills

 

* Works successfully across organizational matrix and as a team

 

* Strong team leader and team builder

 

* Ability to provide guidance and advice within area of expertise

 

* Sensitive to differing cultures, customs, business practices and individual differences in learning behavior

 

* Organizational and time management skills

 

* Ability to prioritize and adjust to changes quickly
