Leading Investment Bank in London is looking for a VP of Finance Change / Finance Transformation with a deep understanding and experience of Lean and its practical applications in business process re-engineering within a strategic programme.
As the Senior Lean Leader you will have responsibility for leading and driving multiple lean projects typically 12 - 18 months to deliver transformational change (and specifically reducing variability, removing inflexibility and removing waste) along across end-to-end finance business processes, productivity efficiency, staff engagement and risk control
Lead the delivery of targeted process reviews utilising Business Engineering tools, assist management with the setting of targets and lead a team. The role provides strong interaction with senior management.
The Lean workstream is a key component of Finance Transformation programme which aims to re-engineer business processes, technology and people. You will work in close collaboration with line management and staff, driving diagnostic, design and implementation of sustainable improvements
A key deliverable of this role is the transfer of lean knowledge and lean capability build to the business. Some of the key objectives for this role are:
• Build a community of highly skilled and business connected Lean practitioners;
• Embed a continuous improvement culture within the line teams in the business;
• Deliver tangible benefit to the business through the removal of ‘waste’;
• Create a model for capturing benefits and tracking their deployment;
• Ensure the benefit realised is sustained through the deployment
Will need an extensive knowledge of the Lean 5D methodology and help apply the Lean tools in the most effective way to guarantee successful delivery within the timeframe.
Must have a background coming from Investment Banking line finance: Product Control, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting or Financial Control so can act as a subject matter expert in the finance process flows of an Investment Bank as well as having a good understanding of Investment Banking products.
Ideally a qualified accountant Lean Six Sigma Certification
