Lean Manufacturing Coordinator / Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma Black Belt Certified Job in Montgomery, Alabama US
Small plant (part of a multi-national company) is searching for a Lean Manufacturing Coordinator with heavy experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement skills. Company's products are sold throughout the world. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the deployment and implementation of the Six Sigma methodology within the organization. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include:
- Lead work team in executing Lean Principles within their work areas
- Lead Kaizen based improvement projects, process improvement
- Maintain company's Lean project tracking system - reporting finding to senior management on a regular basis
- Responsible for tracking of cost avoidance of savings associated with Kaizen events
- Work with vendor and customer Six Sigma Representatives - participating in joint Six Sigma activities
- Study and recommend the location and utilization of materials, manpower and machinery for identified improvement opportunities
- Recommend purchasing of equipment for machining, fabrication and assembly operations for equipment replacement program or new product programs
- Serve as Black Belt Six Sigma leader in mentoring other Green Belts - train and certify internal candidates
Requires:
· Engineering / Technical Bachelors Degree
- Some ten years manufacturing plant experience
- Must have at least 5 years experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Black Belt Certification (SSBB)
