We are looking for a dedicated LEAN SixSigma/process improvement individual who will report to Director of LEAN SixSigma. Primary focus will be on driving improvements in sourcing logistics, and other shared service areas. Position requires a person that is able to facilitate and drive results through leveraging strong interpersonal skills. This assignment provides an individual the opportunity to learn the business and strengthen their skills in team facilitation membership, project management and execution, business financial acumen, voice of the customer, leadership, communication, negotiation influencing skills, and change agent behaviors. The position requires someone who can effectively work with all levels of the organization to create buy-in across various groups. To be successful, an individual needs to have a passion for process improvement, be able to manage several projects/activities at a time, and have the stamina and the urgency as a change agent. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate integration of LEAN SixSigma thinking/understanding in sourcing logistics and other functional areas. Seek out and identify project opportunities and develop improvement plans and targets. Track associated activities.
Facilitate meetings with functional management to review and support project progress. Manage LEAN SixSigma reporting activities for sourcing logistics and other assigned functional areas.
Participate in staff meetings to learn and understand organizational objectives. Use understanding to effectively deliver improvements supporting strategy.
Lead improvement projects to increase productivity, maximize profitability, improve customer satisfaction and drive standardization.
Mentor and coach employees in project management and the use and application of LEAN SixSigma tools and methodologies.
Develop Value Stream expertise through current state analysis and future state planning.
Develop partnerships with business, operations and LEAN SixSigma leaders from across the company to share and leverage best practices.
Be an ambassador of LEAN SixSigma throughout the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business/management area
5+ years work experience in transactional/shared service functions in manufacturing company
Proven project management skills, delivery of results, and self-starting initiative with a focus on process improvement
Self-motivated in an unstructured environment
Proven ability to effectively lead change and identify continuous improvement opportunities in transactional areas
LEAN and SixSigma training and application experience
Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel (up to 30% with some international travel)
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
LEAN SixSigma BlackBelt Certification
SAP Experience
Value Stream and Kaizen event experience
Sourcing and Logistics process improvement responsibilities
Knowledge of statistical analysis tools. Prior exposure to Minitab a plus
