Responsibilities
Purpose:
The Learning Consultant develops and maintains high quality leadership
development training and development programs that are part of the overall
leadership development strategy to enhance employees performance while building
organizational capacity. Incumbent will work closely with Organization
Development Human Resource Consultants and other stakeholders throughout the
solution lifecycle in order to ensure programs meet or exceed business needs
and objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
*Accountable for the execution and continuous improvement of corporate-wide
leadership development programs through partnerships with external training
vendors, Organization Development Consultants and the broader HR community.
*Deliver consistent and high-quality corporate-wide marketing and communication
efforts to advertise leadership development programs and offerings while
strengthening the NiSource leadership development brand.
*Assists with design and development of new programs based on defined strategy
and learning objectives.
*Determine implementation approaches and associated training delivery schedules
to optimize vendor expenses while meeting demand for programs across NiSource.
*Partner with OD Coordinator to ensure program logistics are planned and
executed to support delivery of best-in-class programs.
*Collect feedback, assess the effectiveness of programs, and make
recommendations for improvements
*Monitor program registration, communicate status to HR/OD Consultants, and
identify schedule changes as needed to maximize return on training investment.
*Work with vendors and internal subject-matter experts to customize training
programs to reflect the NiSource culture.
*Interacts with senior leadership on the status, feedback, and results of
leadership development programs.
*Partner with Supply Chain on strategic sourcing of external training partners.

*Attend programs to set-up, greet attendees, assist facilitators, and monitor
delivery.
*Monitor invoices and payments for leadership development related expenditures
to deliver programs within established budgets.
*Execute change management actions in support of corporate-wide programs
*Partner with Organization Development Human Resource Consultants to design
and execute learning programs to meet business-unit development needs as time
permits.
*Conducts day-to-day administrative duties associated with being a team member
of a professional staff.
*Assist with other corporate-wide initiatives as requested
Selection Criteria
Required for Selection:
*Bachelors degree in relevant discipline including Organization Development,
Human Resource Management, Business, Education, Organization Effectiveness,
Communications, or related field.
*Proven knowledge and abilities in the principles and practices of adult
learning instructional design and delivery as well as talent development, and
change management.
*Experience executing large-scale learning initiatives across multiple regions
or geographies.
*Effective project management skills to formulate a plan of action and
effective execution of the plan.
*Demonstrated customer service skills (both internally and externally) at all
levels within the organization from entry level to the executive levels.
*Excellent computer technology skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office
desktop tools and electronic communications such as e-mail, calendars, etc.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*Experience partnering with external vendors to deliver high-quality programs
*Demonstrated leadership ability in a fast paced, high stress business
environment.
*Drives results. Excellent problem solving skills.
*Works collaboratively and cooperatively across organizational boundaries.

Preferred for Selection:
*Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
*Experience working with multiple levels of leadership from front-line
operations through senior leadership
Other Information
Additional Learning Consultant Requirements:
4 to 8+ years experience preferred; commensurate experience considered in lieu
of years of experience.

Additional Information:
Travel requirements: 30 - 40%
Position is part of an OD Team which provides corporate-wide services.
