Learning & Development Manager – Technical Programs – 12 month Contract recruitment

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the requirement of Learning and Development Manager - Technical Programs, 12 month contract. Primarily reporting into Head of Business Services Delivery (MRB) the role will encompass the provision of learning and development support for all technical requirements across MRB. Building a strong training capability is also a primary focus alongside building relationships with internal and external vendors to deliver identified development.
Located in our prestigious Shelley Street offices, this role is responsible for the understanding of key learning and development principles, including needs analysis, design, development, facilitation and evaluation.
Duties include:
- Provide information and advice regarding training, education and development needs of staff to the executive to assist strategic planning
- Develop platform to meet the long term training needs of MRB
- Develop and implement project frameworks for major projects
- Lead and guide other staff in the formulation of project frameworks for smaller projects to achieve the learning and development goals and work plan agreed outcomes
- Develop and maintain a high level of specialised knowledge in key areas of Learning and Development
- Develop innovative training delivery approaches to ensure best practice and effective training
- Development of methodologies for specialised and complex projects requiring innovation
- Identify and liaise with key stakeholders to identify training needs
- Preparation of executive presentations and papers
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- An enhanced, proven skill set within Learning Development
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and a Certificate IV in Training Assessment
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, including team building skills, problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to meet the needs of diverse groups of staff
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills
- A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a high volume work environment
- Advanced networking, negotiation and consultation skills
- Advanced MS Office including presentation software skills
- A commitment to continuous improvement
