Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Consultant to join our Learning and Talent Development Team. The purpose of this role is to provide learning and development support and advice to the client areas of Fixed Income, the Macro Investment Business, Group Operations and Central Functions, Prudential Capital and the Portfolio Management Group. The incumbent of this role also has joint responsibility (with our other LTD Consultant) to deliver a number of MG development programmes, including our recently launched management development programme.

The role is part of a high performing and dynamic team and will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain excellent experience in Learning and Talent Development and a greater understanding of the HR function in which it sits. The team undertakes a wide variety of initiatives and activities and would welcome an individual who would relish the chance to get involved.

Key responsibilities

Consulting Responsibilities:

Individual Development: Deliver appropriate training and development solutions to support all members of Staff in their technical and personal development.

Team Events and Initiatives: Deliver appropriate solutions to enable teams to operate effectively and to deliver a high level of performance to meet business objectives.

Coaching and Mentoring: Identify coaching/mentoring requirements in development discussions with the business and manage the relationship between coach/mentor and client ensuring the MG coaching/mentoring guidelines are met.

Catalyst Programme: Manage this programme in collaboration with our other LTD Consultant, liaising regularly with the participants and their line managers and arranging all programme content.

Performing through People (PTP) Programme: Continue, with our other LTD Consultant, to embed the management training offering (PTP) to ensure that all staff have access to robust and challenging development on their management skills.

Management Masterclasses: Provide a suite of masterclasses throughout the year, in collaboration with the other LTD Consultant and working alongside external providers to agree appropriate content.

Project Delivery:

Projects within the LTD Team: Work with other members of LTD Team to develop and deliver appropriate initiatives and programmes to accelerate the development of identified business and investment talent populations and to support the capability of line managers, including coaching, mentoring, 360 degree feedback and the use of psychometric assessments.

The ideal candidate will have strong Learning and Development experience at Consultant level and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

- Internal stakeholder and client management capability
- External supplier relationship management capability
- Enthusiasm to work in a busy, motivated team and to contribute ideas and views
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage own time well and to prioritise own activities
- Flexibility and willingness to get involved and take on opportunities
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal and with all levels of staff
- MBTI certified
- Commercial orientation and an interest/experience in the business of investment management
