Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) invites applications for the full-time, non-tenure-track, renewable position of Lecturer in Discipline, to begin July 1, 2012, in the field of budgeting.

 

SIPA is seeking an outstanding faculty member to teach courses in budgeting for nonprofits/NGOs and other aspects of financial management in a highly demanding, two-year master’s degree program. The faculty member will teach up to three sections of budgeting in the core curriculum and one elective in some aspect of financial management. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include advising students. SIPA enrolls a selective, international student body pursuing careers in the public, private, and nonprofit sector.

 

Candidates for a lecturer position must have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in teaching. In addition, candidates should have a record of accomplishment either in closely related research or professional practice. Minimum degree required is master's or equivalent. Research interests should be policy relevant.
