The University of Maine School of Nursing seeks a non-tenure track Lecturer in the baccalaureate nursing program to begin January 3, 2012. Depending upon candidate availability and preference, this academic-year position could be either full or part-time. Reappointment in this position is contingent upon funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Qualifications and Responsibilities: This appointment includes didactic, clinical, and lab teaching as well as academic advisement in the baccalaureate nursing program. A Master's degree in nursing as well as valid State of Maine Nursing licensure is required by the date of hire. Demonstrated clinical proficiency in women's health care is also required. The successful applicant must possess competent clinical ability, effective communication skills, and strong collaboration skills. Applicants should be capable of teaching in an additional clinical area.
