Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Financial Management recruitment
Based in the School of Business, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Financial Management, mainly in the School, but also across the College. Part-time study is available for students and the School is developing a flexible approach to delivery including distance learning that will form part of the duties. Some of the teaching is delivered overseas.
You will be capable of teaching management accounting at Honours and Masters level as well as double entry and book keeping to other levels. Also, while the teaching should be based on the latest thinking on theoretical principles, the ability to demonstrate and communicate the practical applications of the subjects is vital to emphasise a vocational approach and strengthen links with industry.
Preferably you will have demonstrable ability in a combination of teaching, leadership, research, consultancy, and/or training. It is expected that research and/or consultancy will underpin the required teaching duties.
You will be capable of generating research or consultancy work that will lead to publications or income generation.
A higher degree is desirable but not mandatory at Lecturer level. Support is given for suitably qualified staff to register for a relevant higher degree while working at the College.
