My client is a top tier global asset management firm and they are seeking to hire an accomplished lawyer to be part of an expanding Legal team. This position will be based in Singapore and you will be reporting directly to the Director of Legal.
Some of the key responsibilities will be to provide legal support and oversight for all agreements entered into by the business and/or associated funds. You will be an overall legal representative for the business involving yourself with new business projects and the launch of new funds.
You will also negotiate broker terms of business and other counterparty documentation on various forms of financial derivatives this will include the negotiation of ISDAs. Along with providing advice to the business managers in relation to any ad hoc legal matters.
To qualify for this role you must have at least 5 years of relevant working experience, ideally drafting Contractual Documentation relating to the asset management industry in Asia.
You must be admitted to practice law in a financial hub jurisdiction and be a postgraduate legal qualification from a reputable academic institution would be preferred. Being highly presentable with strong communication skills is vital for success within the interview.
