Job Description

* Support Syndications and OCC teams in review and approval of syndicated loan documentation and loan distribution documentation;
* Support Transaction Banking team in review and approval of product documentation;
* Manage CDU Americas;
* Support Securities Services team as Regional Contact Person for the Americas;
* Research and conduct diligence for approvals of OCC and TB Country Addenda in US, Canada and LATAM; select, appoint, supervise and manage external counsel in connection with advice relating to permissibility of marketing and sales of new products from and into these jurisdictions;
* Participate in OCC and LATAM BORC meetings;
* Participate in EAR meetings;
* Advise staff on questions of a legal nature regarding upcoming or past transactions or regarding regulatory issues that may arise;
* Manage non-material litigation involving the Wholesale Bank, including supervision of external counsel;
* Select, appoint, supervise and manage external counsel for cross-border and domestic Wholesale Bank transactions; and
* Assist, as appropriate with all other functions in the New York Branch, including CRES and Human Resources

Key Roles Responsibilities

* Free access to Wholesale Bank product specialists, marketers and sales staff and Head of Legal, Americas
* Authority to approve non-standard documents and amendments to standard form documents on a case by case basi

Qualifications Skills

* Select, appoint, supervise and manage external counsel for cross-border and domestic Wholesale Bank transactions; and
* Assist, as appropriate with all other functions in the New York Branch, including CRES and Human Resources
