Legal and Compliance Manager – Global Hedge Fund recruitment
You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating all documents and agreements in particular those related to prime brokerage, CSA, ISDA etc. You will also support the compliance needs of growing trading activities and manage the ongoing compliance advice including implementing regulatory/legal fillings(SEC and CFTC etc)
You will also be expected to advise on PPM and other related marketing material used by the investment firm.
You will liaise closely with business and external legal counsel as well as other in house legal departments within the organization for all regulatory and legal aspects.
Since this very boasts a very entrepreneurial set up and environment it is important that this person is able to roll their sleeves up and perform other ad hoc duties as when required.
Ideally you should be a qualified lawyer or alternatively compliance/regulatory profiles are also welcomed if they can demonstrate a sound understanding of legal matters and the various agreements mentioned above.
Most important is that you understand capital markets/hedge funds and the regulatory environment in HK.
This role reports to the managing director and CIO of the hedge fund.
In this role you should be fluent in English.
