About our client
Our client is a major international company with growing operations in Poland. Due to continued growth of their organization in Krakow, they are looking for a highly experienced and ambitious candidate for the role of Head of Legal and Risk Control. This individual will be a member of the local Management Committee, having an impact on Poland operations as a whole.
Job description
- Lead a department which provides Legal Compliance support and Operational Risk management and is responsible for delivering operational service to internal clients scattered all over the globe.
- Responsible for ensuring that functions operate effectively, adhere to polices procedures as required
- Monitor day to day operations ensuring service is delivered in accordance to SLA
- Provide support to direct and indirect reports (Managers and Team Leaders) in the area of people management, building relationship with client, process improvement and performance monitoring
- Ensures good working relationships with all stakeholders including clients, auditors, and senior management
- Proactively identify inefficiencies implement solutions to resolve issues
- Maintain clear strategy and make proposals for organizational change wherever necessary
Who we are looking for
- University degree in business administration, finance/economics, accounting or related field; Additional financial accounting qualifications a big plus (CFA, ACCA, etc.)
- At least 8+ years experience in operational roles tied to financial institutions or outsourcing companies; experience in risk management and compliance
- Proven track record of leadership and management of large teams (50+)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience in client relationship management
- Fluent in English
