This boutique law firm is seeking a Personal Assistant with Family Law experience to join their established practice located within the CBD. Having built a strong reputation, they pride themselves on understanding their client’s needs and providing solutions to complex and emotional situations.
This position is a great opportunity for you to utilise your skills and experience in a fast paced and team orientated environment. You will build professional working relationships with the partners, lawyers and clients.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing the Partners and lawyers diaries
- Dictation-typing of correspondence, court documents, file notes, and briefs to counsel
- Answering the telephone and assisting with client queries and message taking
- Filing and preparation of court related documents
- Managing and responding to general correspondence and emails
- Organising cost certificates and receipt of payments
- Opening and closing files and ensuring all payments are up-to-date
In order to be successful, you will have knowledge and experience within Family Law, a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm and strong MS Office skills. Previous use of a legal database is essential, as are your ability to build rapport quickly and display appropriate empathy. You will be professionally presented, possess excellent time management skills and able to display good use of initiative and problem solving skills.
