Job Description: Our client is a national non-profit agency currently in search of an experienced legal assistant for their Sacramento operations. Ideal candidates will bring a minimum of 3-4 years of legal experience, preferably with a strong background in legal research focused on legislation and government policy. Qualified candidates will have experience in the following: Research and review of regulations, legislation and government policy and procedures Basic legal research skills Admin tasks to include: scheduling for two attorneys, meeting planning (formatting agenda, venue logistics, etc.) Word processing skills to include: formatting charts, transcribing meeting notes, etc.) Great phone and in-person professional presence and ability to work in a fast paced environment Great communication skills both in email and in person Expert in Microsoft Office Applications most importantly Outlook, Word and Excel Great organization skills To apply for this opportunity, please forward a Word formatted resume to Joshua Leighton.
