Legal Compliance - EMEA Finance Planning Analysis Associate
Legal Compliance (LC) Organization - LC is responsible for the provision of legal and compliance services to the Corporation, and also includes the Office of the Secretary.
The group consists of approximately 2,800 employees globally (400 in EMEA).
Business Structure - LC is organized by Practice Groups that conform to the Firm's lines of business and corporate staff areas.
This structure provides the means for LC to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the business lines, and for the business lines to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to LC in a timely manner.
Position Summary - The EMEA Finance PA associate is responsible for provide planning, reporting and analytical support to the EMEA General Counsels and their mgmt teams, LC EMEA cost center managers, the LC Global CFO/CAO and the LC Global PA manager.

Key ResponsibilitiesAnnual Planning - provide support during the planning process, assisting to build and load expense budgets for each EMEA practice group within LC. Includes the following responsibilities: cost center maintenance, direct expense budgeting, allocation rule writing, FX exposure analysis, and general reporting and analysis.Month-End Close - support month-end reporting process, including transaction analysis/balance review, re-class/adjusting entry coordination, accrual maintenance, PL report creation, and ad-hoc analysis.Expense Analysis - partner with EMEA PA manager to review and analyze select expense accounts to identify and action upon productivity opportunitiesAllocations - review monthly allocation results for any legal entity / cash settlement issues and adjust as necessaryReference Data - maintain local and global reference data structures and coordinate with Global PA managerOutside Counsel Management - partner with their manager, Global CFO and Global/Regional Sourcing managers to understand and support the LC Outside Counsel Cost Management Program.Projects - support regional efforts to consolidate the number of financial platforms and make the reporting process more efficient
