This leading organisation holds an excellent reputation worldwide and boasts a substantial and expanding share in its chosen area of operation. Due to its involvement in a number of major resources projects, a senior in-house lawyer is required to play an integral part of this leading group.
This unique and challenging role will see you responsible for providing full legal support to the companies WA’s operations. Working as part of a friendly and cohesive team, you will be responsible for drafting negotiating engineering construction contracts, joint venture, supply and other commercial agreements. You will build key relationships at all levels throughout the business as you advise on contractual, property and employment law issues, implement policies and procedures and educate on legal risk and compliance. You will take a lead role on major commercial negotiations and will advise throughout all stages of major projects. The management of any litigation and briefing out to external legal providers will also form part of your role.
The ideal candidate will require a minimum of 8-10 years PAE in construction law gained with a top-tier construction team or in a similar in-house role. Previous exposure to major oil gas infrastructure projects will also be highly regarded. Strong drafting and negotiation skills, a commercial approach and excellent interpersonal skills will ensure your success.
