Legal Counsel – Financial Services recruitment
Responsiblie for Australia and New Zealand and working closely with the global legal function.
This role is based in Sydney CBD within a leading financial institution.
Essential skills
-Practising solicitor with at least -5-7 years experience in commercial law with particular focus in financial services law in both Australian and New Zealand markets;
Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate complex legal issues in both verbal and written reports
Excellent organisation, analytical and negotiation skills
Solid understanding of the laws and regulations that cover the financial services industry including but not limited to knowledge of the Corporations Act and other equivalent legislation.
Desirable skills
Knowledge of the ASX Market Rules
Knowledge of the AML Act and associated Rules
In-house experience in the financial services industry
