Our Client, a leading European Reinsurer is seeking a life and health Underwriter.
The Role
The Legal Counsel shall be working in the Asia legal team with primary focus in managing legal issues relating to the operation in South East Asia by supporting local offices in Singapore and Malaysia. The legal advice and support provided would include general corporate issues, regulatory and compliance issues, product development, reinsurance contracts and claims.
Manage legal issues related to general corporate matters relating to the reinsurer's operation in South East Asia. Manage legal, regulatory compliance issues related to product development for both property casualty and life health business in South East Asia. Advise on regulatory issues relating to South East Asia. Advise on compliance matters relating to operation in South East Asia. Advise on reinsurance contracts and claims.
Your Profile
You should have 6 - 8 years PQE, legal qualified lawyer from any South East Asian country. Attention to details, ability to work independently and do multi-tasking. Excellent written and spoken English and preferably an Asian language. Good communication and cross-cultural skills. Prior experience in insurance matters multiple jurisdictions an advantage.
