Legal Counsel required for Real Estate Fund Management Company recruitment
This Real Estate Fund Manager is the RE arm of a wider Fund Management group which has over RM20bn invested in Property, Infrastructure and other alternative Assets throughout the Australasia region.The business has currently one major fund invested and is in the process of raising a second fund.
The right candidate has strong local knowledge of Singapore and Asia’s Fund Laws relating to Private Equity Real Estate Funds, who knows about fund registration in Singapore, and distribution throughout Asia. You should have at least 4-6 years’ work experience, preferably at a major local legal firm, having dealt with clients in the real estate and/or banking sectors.
You should have a sharp eye for detail and strong knowledge of the local regulatory framework relating to Real Estate Investment Funds. As this is a small, fast-growing business, you must be flexible, hands-on and show strong motivation and a ‘can-do’ attitude. You must be a natural problem-solver for whom no issue is too complex.
Ideally you are a fully-qualified lawyer in Singapore with experience from a major local legal firm. This would be an excellent step for a Senior Associate or experienced Associate to add to their private practice experience and implement what they have learned within a Real Estate business, taking projects through from beginning to end. Initially it is a standalone role for now, but with a future team growing underneath you.
The fund management business will encompass wholesale property funds, property syndicates and real estate advisory services targeted at commercial office and retail premises.
