LEGAL COUNSEL,VP level – PRIVATE BANKING AND WEALTH MANAGEMENT recruitment
Our client is a global bank with offices spread across the globe. The successful candidate will be part of the Asia Pacific Legal team and will be responsible for providing regional legal support to the private banking businesses of our client.
Responsibilities
- Advise on legal issues in relation to the private banking business in the Asia Pacific region, including the offering of products and services on a cross-border basis, with a focus on Singapore legal and regulatory developments.
- Working with internal and external legal advisors across the Asia Pacific region to establish legal and regulatory parameters for the offering of the private banking product and service suite, and advising internal clients on such.
- Reviewing and managing customer complaints and litigation and advising on a full spectrum of client touch point issues
Requirements
- At least 4 years of legal work experience with a major law firm or financial institution
- Law degree and admission to the Bar (US, UK, Australia, Hong Kong or Singapore)
- Practical and solution-oriented, keen and a team player
- Strong legal analytical skills and judgment
- Strong relationship building skills
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory framework in the Asia Pacific region
- Experience with trust structures a plus
