Job Description

1. To provide legal and documentation support to the Wholesale bank in connection with derivatives transactions for the Origination Client Coverage ('OCC') and Financial Markets ('FM') teams in the Asia Pacific region (excluding PRC).

2. To assist management of the Wholesale Bank procure that appropriate forms of master agreements are used for dealings with third parties with adequate protections and remedies to address credit and event risk, and help determine that transactions with third parties are valid and enforceable under the laws of all relevant jurisdictions.

3. To identify and find ways to reduce legal risk.

4. To identify and ensure compliance with internal policies and dispensation procedures.

5. To control the quality and cost of legal services provided by external law firms and to approve the selection of external law firms in relation to these responsibilities.

Key Roles Responsibilities

- Responsible for managing, preparing and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Agreements, Give Ups, Global Master Repurchase Agreements and Securities Lending Agreements for a variety of clients,
- Working closely with the credit department, legal department, back office and the sales coverage.
- Agreements tend to be heavily negotiated, which will give the successful candidate an insight into a variety of regulatory, legal, credit and risk management issues. The candidate must be able to effectively manage a challenging and changing portfolio of clients along with financial markets related projects.

Qualifications Skills

- Must have a minimum of 4 years ISDA negotiating experience
- Experience in the area of ISDA Documentation or Transaction Management.
-Loan linked finance exposure would be a particular benefit
-Knowledge of funds would be an advantage
- Knowledge of financial services industry or legal background.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Good team player with ability to work independently
- Great organizational skills
-High attention to detail
- Interest in learning about documentation and finance
