Legal Entity Controller recruitment
Legal Entity Controller sought on a permanent basis for a leading business based in Canary Wharf. This role would ideally suit a recently qualified accountant with financial services exposure or a newly qualified accountant with financial services audit experience looking to network, challenge and take ownership of their work.
Key responsibilities will include completing financial statements and accounting for financial instruments under IFRS and US GAAP. Good systems understanding and interest (such as trade system, sub ledger, general ledger) with the underlying objective of developing and strengthening controls and implementing changes to continuously improve the control environment. The entity operates many business lines and results in the individual having to interact with many functional support groups (product control, operations, tax and treasury). The role also requires the individual to interact with senior management in finance and the front office businesses.
A number of entities sit in other parts of Europe, Asia and Africa again this will fall under your remit. The systems architecture and traded financial instruments are complex and so the role will suit an individual who is a Chartered Accountant or equivalent with relevant post qualification experience. The role will suit an individual from a large investment bank or who wishes to make a move out of an accounting firm.
