 Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is the asset management arm of Norway’s central bank (Norges Bank), responsible for managing the Government Pension Fund Global and the Norwegian foreign exchange reserves.  The portfolios are valued at more than 400 billion Euros and invested in international equity, fixed-income and real estate markets.

NBIM S.à r.l. in Luxembourg, a subsidiary of Norges Bank, was established in 2011 following the recent inclusion of Real Estate in the Government Pension Fund.  We are pleased to offer you an opportunity to join us in Luxembourg and help us fulfill the mandate to place up to 5 percent of the Fund’s assets in properties.

Legal Officer

(M/F)

As a Legal Officer you will work within an international and multi-disciplinary team in Luxembourg, and will work closely with our parent company’s Legal professionals and other functions in NBIM’s international offices. You will report to the senior management of NBIM S.à r.l. There will be significant development opportunities for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up to date records of corporate entities, ensuring all corporate legal obligations are complied with

• Coordinate board documents and manage the relevant corporate secretarial functions

• Coordinate and monitor external legal advisors

• Provide advice on the appropriate legal structure of the corporate entities in Luxembourg and other European countries

• Manage legal documentation for the company

• Participate in review of legal documentation

• Participate in developing appropriate governance, compliance and control processes

• Provide general legal support

Your profile

• Law degree

• Minimum 3 - 8 years of experience in European corporate law, of which a minimum 2 years in Luxembourg. Responsibilities will depend on experience

• Corporate secretarial experience

• Well organized and attention to detail

• Team player

• Real estate experience is an advantage

• Must be fluent in English and French, German is an advantage
