Legal Records Clerk (Prior legal records experience is a MUST!!) Job in Boston 02110, Massachusetts Us

Merrill Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Legal Records Clerk for one of our client sites in Boston, MA.  The successful candidate will be flexible, hard-working, organized and a customer service orientated team player.

 

The position is responsible for managing the process of all ingoing and outgoing legal files in support of client needs.  The responsibilities for this position include: gathering, sorting and preparing legal documents for filing but most important creating computerized indexes of pleadings and discovery documents and closing case files for offsite storage.

 

The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of legal documents and hands-on experience with indexing pleadings and discovery to be considered for an interview.  Must be able to provide excellent customer service to all levels within a client environment.

 

Requirements:

 

Requirements include excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment, strong attention to detail, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to analyze and offer solutions, 2-5 years experience within a records center or law firm environment. Experience with CARM / Filesurf or LegalKEY is a plus. Prior legal records experience is a must!  Must have experience indexing pleadings and discovery to be considered.
