JOB DUTIES:
Legal Secretary:
We are looking for a proactive and motivated self-starter with advanced computer, organizational and client service skills. You will provide administrative and secretarial support to a Partner (and head of the firm’s Energy practice), and two or three associates. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, maintaining Partner’s daily schedule, calendaring, responding to client requests, preparation of time diaries and expense reports, travel arrangements, filing, setting up meetings with attorneys and clients in multiple locations, preparation of various documents, including PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets. You will operate from established procedures under a moderate degree of complexity. You will be required to exercise discretion and decorum at all times.
As part of the Los Angeles office secretarial team, you will be required to “back up” your colleagues from time-to-time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be specifically listed on resume in order to be considered for this position:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 10+ years of legal or private corporation secretarial experience required, preferably at the partner or executive levels.
- Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Upon interview a typing test will be administered and 65 wpm is required. Strong organizational skills and ability to perform at a very high level in a fast paced, team oriented legal environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software. Strong oral, written communication, and problem solving skills. Reliability, flexibility, attention to details, and team oriented. Flexible to work overtime. Clearance of Firm standard background checks. EOE/AA.
