The Company

Our client is an International bank which is currently active in the business and corporate banking sectors and one of the leading providers of Financial Services in Ireland.

The Challenge

The role of the Lending Manager will involve growing and managing a portfolio of lending client’s also ongoing analysis and monitoring of portfolio to ensure arrears are kept to a minimum. The Lending Manager will also:

• Operate as a key person representing the Bank in relationships with key clients.

• As appropriate, negotiate repayment schedules with clients.

• Assist in the reduction of overall capital usage

• Ensure clients reviews are carried out and completed within agreed timeframes.

• Ensure issues which have been escalated are appropriately addressed

The Candidate

The ideal Lending Manager will have an excellent understanding of all aspects of Banking, proven people management skills and a track record of client service delivery. They will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and internal departments to deliver excellent client service and value add to the business.

• Excellent credit and decision-making skills.

• The role requires excellent commercial judgment and an in depth understanding of legal, credit and compliance issues

• Ability to lead and motivate a team of lending executives

• Able to adapt to change and thrive in a banking environment

• Ability to identify early risk situations where a credit solution might not be readily achievable

• Ability to effectively engage with other areas of the business to support inter-departmental projects and processes which directly impact the business

• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills necessary. 

• Relevant Business Degree with a minimum of a 2.1 and/or accountancy qualification

• QFA Qualified
