Fueled by our continued growth, we are seeking a Lending Specialist to work in our Financial Institutions Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
§ Executing the review of consumer and commercial loan portfolios to achieve internal audit, external audit, and special project objectives for clients with assets up to $3.5 billion and that require innovative solutions to both simple and complex problems.
§ Assist with engagement planning, including portfolio analysis, risk assessment, and sample selection.
§ Evaluating and documenting policy and procedures compliance, review of credit decisions, and credit analysis.
§ Assess and evaluate all areas of lending operations including origination, underwriting, approval, funding, servicing, etc.
§ Conduct regulatory lending compliance audits.
§ Create and present enhancements to policies and procedures based on assessment.
§ Evaluate asset quality and determine loan loss allowances.
§ Potential for special projects to include merger due diligence, fraud exams, troubled loan exams, and business plan support.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
§ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
§ 2 years current financial institution loan review, credit administration, or loan origination experience.
§ Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify credit risk.
§ Experience performing financial, operational, and system audits as well as business process control reviews.
§ A working knowledge of risk-based pricing, credit reports. appraisals, debt-to-income ratios, and federal lending regulations.
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is necessary.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
§ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, highly professional team environment.
§ Ability to travel up to 35%
§ Earned Credit Risk Certified or Certified Fraud Examiner certifications a plus.
§ A desire to stay informed of industry trends through continuous internal training, self-education, and continuing professional education opportunities.
