My client being a Global Organisation who are projecting rapid growth, are now seeking to bring on board a Service Desk person to join their vibrant IT Team. They are now looking for a person who thrives on providing exceptional Customer Service, providing quality professional IT Support, Trouble-shooting Technical issues and Fault Management for all of my clients Australia/NZ stores and related business units. 
The team that you will be working within is really vibrant and exceptionally friendly and welcoming. 
The Service Desk Manager works closely with you providing on-going Training also focusing on your career progression opportunities.  
  
The responsibilities for this role will include:  

  • Handling incoming Technical incidents via phone/e-mail/remote access and thoroughly documenting all activity.  
  • Diagnosing and resolving a wide range of their stores and internal business units Technical issues.  
  • Conducting store visits where required looking after any Hardware related issues.  
  • Working individually and as a part of a solid team developing Service Improvement Plans.  

To be considered for this permanent position, our client is looking for:  

  • Solid Customer Service experience.  
  • A person with ideally (not a must) having a minimum of 6 months IT experience within a similiar Helpdesk or Service Desk position or ideally having previous experience within a phone based customer service role.  
  • Ideally (not a must) having a competent level of Hardware/Software trouble-shooting ability.  
  • A person with excellent communication skills both over the phone, face to face and via e-mail.  
  • Ideally but not necessarily having an understanding of/or experience with using and/or installing Linux Redhat, even if you have tinkered around with Linux RedHat at home.  
  • Ideally having an IT Qualification.
