PG is seeking a talented and experienced attorney to join the Regulatory and Quality Assurance team in its Legal organization. The position is located in PG's corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. This attorney will provide legal counsel to PG's business regarding a range of regulatory, safety surveillance and quality assurance compliance matters. The role will be global, with the focus on the U.S.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide legal counsel to a diverse group of clients, on a broad range of regulatory and quality assurance compliance matters
- Train other lawyers and clients with respect to regulatory and quality assurance compliance
- Help clients respond to quality accidents, regulatory inspections, and enforcement action
- Provide counsel in pharmacovigilance matters, working closely with PG's Global Safety Surveillance organization
- Legal and policy leadership regarding quality assurance compliance matters
- Assess and advise on current and emerging legislative, regulatory and policy initiatives in core areas of responsibility
- Participate and represent the Company in industry organizations
- Manage outside legal counsel in a cost-effective manner
- Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
A successful candidate must have:
- J.D. degree with outstanding academic performance
- Membership in at least one state bar, with the ability to become a member of the Ohio bar within the first year of employment
- 6-10 years of experience in a corporate or government agency legal department, or law firm, with primary practice area of regulatory and quality assurance compliance matters, including those relating to GMP compliance, quality system design and safety surveillance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and very strong problem-solving skills
- Track record of success in professional and personal activities
- Proven leadership ability as well as the ability to work as a member of a team, both with business clients and within the Legal organization
